2021 Triduum Liturgy Update

2021 Triduum Liturgy Update

Greetings everyone!

Easter is drawing near and we are so thankful that it appears we can join together to celebrate this year!

Please read the following carefully if you wish to attend a Mass/liturgy during the Triduum

Mass times will be as follows:

  • Holy Thursday – 7:30PM
  • Good Friday – 12:00PM and 3:00PM
  • Easter Vigil – 8PM
  • Easter Sunday – 7:30AM, 9:00AM, and 11:00AM

While we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, COVID is still upon us so we do have some restrictions to which we must continue to adhere. In an attempt to be as equitable as possible to all parishioners, since capacity remains at 30%, you will only be able to register for ONE of the following: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil. In addition to ONE of these, you will be able to register for Mass on Easter Sunday morning. Father Mark also wants everyone to be reminded that Easter “Day” is 8 weekdays long – so if you cannot make it to Mass on Easter Sunday, attending on any of the weekdays following this would still be considered attendance at an Easter Mass. Also, the dispensation is still in effect so no one is required to attend in person. All the liturgies of the Triduum (Thursday, Friday and the Vigil) will be live streamed as will the Mass on Easter Sunday at 11AM.

Registration for the Masses/liturgies on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil will open on Thursday March 18 at noon.  Once the registration team looks at the seating arrangements, we may be able to release additional seats on Monday March 22 at noon.
How can you help us? It is very important that you register all people who will be sitting with you! For example, if two people register separately, then two pews must be assigned to them (due to protocols). If however, they can sit together, they only require one pew. We can only determine this if people register together! We appreciate your cooperation in this.

While we appreciate that it is disappointing that we cannot attend all of the Masses/liturgies from Holy Thursday through Easter Sunday, we ask that you please understand this is necessary in order to be just to all.

God bless,

St. Mary’s Mass Registration Team
