As Christians, we need a Christian understanding of suffering. Suffering is not meaningless. Our Lord Jesus Christ suffered himself. He is the model. He is the one we follow. Like Jesus, we too will have our passion and death according to the Father’s will for our lives. This is part of being united to Christ. We suffer. We embrace our cross to the end. We need to be looking to the Lord. We all suffer. We all have to pass…

Our parish is meant to be a place where people are blown away by the presence of God.

We can’t do anything in the spiritual realm without the grace and Spirit of God.  We need to catch what the Holy Spirit is doing in our midst. We need to allow the Lord to enkindle in us the fire of his love. We need to share the Holy Spirit with others.  The Lord is giving us a special grace of conversion and preparation so that we can share the fire with others. Let’s pray for that grace this lenten…

5 pieces of wisdom about getting through difficult times Accept your cranky days and enjoy them. Endure the darkness and see that the Lord is doing good. Intense difficulties will pass. Go to prayer when you’re struggling. Focus on today. Pray the Hail Mary.

There is only one thing worth doing in this short life – God’s will and his plan for our lives. We all have a Nineveh, a place we are called to go to proclaim God. We all need to discover our Nineveh. The Lord wants everyone of us to have an impact on a lot of people in some way. Don’t underestimate the plans God has for your life.
