13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

On June 13th, 2022  St. Mary’s Parish received a “Notification to Resident/ Occupant Notice of Work”.

This is to inform you that excavation work is scheduled to take place on Breezehill Ave South beginning on Monday, June 27th, 2022.  This work is anticipated to continue for 4 days from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

 During this time, travel on Breezehill Ave South may be unsafe, therefore only local traffic will be allowed, including the vehicles that require access to the St. Mary’s Parking lot. If you are attending Mass or visiting the adoration chapel, you will be able to park in the St. Mary’s parking lot during this time.

Please drive carefully. You will be travelling at your own risk along Breezehill Ave South between Young Street and Nolan Ave.

Knights of Columbus parish pancake breakfast this Sunday

Brothers and sisters of the parish. Let’s gather together for a delicious Knights of Columbus parish pancake breakfast this Sunday 26 June after the 9:00 am or 11:00 am mass.  Price is $7.00 per person or $25.00 per family.

Knights of Columbus Into the Breach 

Men of the parish.  In these trying times it is a challenge to not only defend the faith but also spread the faith.  Join your brothers in the parish church hall this Tuesday night at 7:00 pm for an inspiring video on Evangelization as part of the Into the Breach program developed by the Knights of the Columbus.  The short video will be followed by discussion groups and refreshments.  Bring a friend with you.”

Encounter School of Ministry (Ottawa Campus) Summer Intensive

Encounter School of Ministry (Ottawa Campus) would like to invite you to our in-person Summer Intensive (July 25-28, 6:30-9:30 pm each night), 33 Aurora Crescent, Ottawa (Servants of the Cross backyard) for a four-day period of worship, teaching, prayer, and fellowship. It is ideal for those who are discerning their enrollment in the full Encounter School of Ministry for the Fall but would like to experience our content and culture beforehand. It provides a survey of the content offered in the first four quarters: Identity and Transformation, Power & Healing, Hearing God & the Prophetic Gifts, and Inner Healing & Freedom. Optional supper starts at 5:30 pm.

We’re looking for an Administrative Assistant for our Head Office in Ottawa, ON.

Heart of Worship

Hailey Krol is the guest speaker for June 28 @7pm. Hailey will be sharing a reflection on “Sin, Repentance, and Our Need for Jesus.” Hailey is a CCO missionary, along with her husband, and an active parishioner of Holy Redeemer.

The event is live-streamed as usual. And confessions will be offered.

World Youth Day

You still have time! New registration deadline for World Youth Day! Instead of June 30th, the deadline is now September 1st, 2022. If you or someone you know is interested in going to WYD let them know they now have the summer to decide. In order to reserve a spot for registration: a $100 deposit is required; the registration form needs to be filled out; the Code of Conduct form needs to be signed. Second World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly

Pope Francis invites all dioceses and eparchies to celebrate this day together on Sunday, July 24, 2022, so that we ensure “no one lives this day in loneliness.” The Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life has prepared an extensive pastoral and media toolkit to assist local initiatives.
