Help Support Local Indigenous Projects and Initiatives

All the money raised during “A Christ-Centred, Co-Journey Towards Healing” will stay in our local communities. Indigenous Groups and Organizations such as Kateri Native Ministry located in Ottawa and the North American Travelling College located in Akwesasne will be able to apply for grants for such things as culture and language revitalization, education and community building. Projects may include programs that offer training and leadership formation to Indigenous communities, curation of oral histories and a curriculum for school-aged children to teach language and share their Indigenous culture. Your generosity in prayer and through your sacrificial gift, will make this possible. Please prayerfully consider giving to this campaign.

The Story Must be Told

Permission: Fr. Bob’s Vision for the Church

“You can’t deny what has happened through this man and the legacy of it.” -Angèle Regnier (Co-Founder of CCO)

Permission: Fr. Bob’s Vision for the Church is a film being developed to tell the story of the founder of the Companions of the Cross, Fr. Bob Bedard, CC.

“He was preaching New Evangelization before the word even became popular”. – Bp. Scott McCaig, CC

This is the story of a modern day champion for the renewal of the priesthood and the church. It is a story that must be told.

This film is being crowdfunded and we encourage you to be part of the team funding this incredible film. There are many levels of giving and each donation is tax deductible through the Companions of the Cross.

How could I help someone to change their life, or even help myself to change my own?

So many of us do the same things week after week, never considering that life can be better than this. We are happy enough that we don’t realize there is so much more than routine.

Why not invest a little time, with others, to find out more about the One who loves us more than we can ask or imagine. By Christmas, your friend could have a new heart and purpose for life. Will you take that risk?

Try Alpha online via Zoom on Tuesday nights. It is not too late!

Our parish public prayer vigil day is scheduled for Saturday, Oct 29.

Sign-ups will take place in the hall after Sunday Masses this weekend.  This international campaign of prayer, fasting and public vigil for an end to abortion in our community continues until Nov 6, 7 am to 7 pm daily, at the southwest corner of Queen Street, just off Bank Street. For further info. visit https://www.40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/ottawa/ go to the far right-side of the home page under Resources, or contact Helena at pro.life@stmarysottawa.ca  Former abortion workers say it was the peaceful prayer presence outside their facilities that turned them away from abortion.
