Special Collection November 5/6

Help Support Local Indigenous Projects and Initiatives

Please Give Generously to the Campaign in Support of Reconciliation. Traditionally and historically, Catholics are known for sharing their blessings. Special collections are important for two reasons. The first is that they help fund a specific need that the Church has identified as worthy and true to the Church’s mission. The second is that they offer opportunities for us, as Christians, to support the Church’s mission on earth. Archbishop Marcel has invited each of us to participate in Ottawa-Cornwall’s Fundraising Campaign in Support of Reconciliation: A CHRIST-CENTRED CO-JOURNEY TOWARDS HEALING. Please use the special envelope found in the pew to make your donation. Every gift is appreciated, and every gift has value! And remember your gift will stay in the Archdiocese to be used by local Indigenous groups and organizations

Please make the special collection cheques payable to the parish with the memo line noting IRF*.

On November 5th and 6th, please donate to the Archdiocese’s fundraising campaign in support of reconciliation:

“A CHRIST-CENTRED CO-JOURNEY TOWARDS HEALING”  Or if you prefer donate immediately.

Memories of Saint Mary’s Archangels Pilgrimage

On the Feast of the Archangels there was a local 7hr camino from St. Patrick’s Fallowfield Parish to St. Mary’s, joined by 29 pilgrims, ending with a fabulous potluck! The organizing committee would like to give a heart-felt THANK YOU to:

  • each of the shuttle drivers who got us to the church on time!
  • everyone who walked the walk evangelizing by your physical witness and prayers for conversions!
  • the kitchen and set-up volunteers who made a wonderful welcome at the end of the pilgrimage!
  • all who shared a dish…it was all delicious and nutritious!
  • and the clean-up crew…so thankful for your energy at the end…so needed after a full day!

Join us on the next pilgrimage St. Patrick’s Fallowfield to St. Patrick’s Basilica, Friday March 17th2023!

Sincerely,

Bryne, Fr. Mark, Rosa, Andrew, Per and Carole
