Divine Mercy Library
Ike Ndukwu | library@stmarysottawa.ca Our mission is to provide a wide selection of Catholic/Christian resources for all ages that will encourage the spiritual and intellectual growth of our community, provide opportunities for people to encounter God, help them grow deeper in faith and support them in being loving and Christ-centred.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Johane Brady | emhc@stmarysottawa.ca This ministry assists the priest with the distribution of Holy Communion during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist or when someone on the pastoral team visits a person sick or shut-in.
First Communion
Vivian Gillis & Jolene Scherr | first.communion@stmarysottawa.ca Our First Communion ministry offers a dynamic, hands on approach to sacramental prep that focuses on discipleship. This program is also available as a supplement to families whose child is participating in a school based program.

Heart of Mercy

Hospitality
Catherine Sullivan, Mary Scherr & Mary Beth Pion | office@stmarysottawa.ca A really fun group who prepare food and drink after various events at St Mary’s, so that people feel welcome, and are able to spend time socializing with their brothers and sisters in Christ.
Knights of Columbus
Nick Lusito & Jim Hatchette | st.m.kofc@gmail.com We are a group of Christian men of St. Mary’s Parish devoted to Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
Lectors
Jacquie Farah | lectors@stmarysottawa.ca Lectors assist in proclaiming the Word of God during the Mass or other parish liturgies. In addition, we increase our own personal spirituality through prayer and the study of Scripture. Lectors are asked to serve in this ministry approximately twice every 6-8 weeks and to attend training sessions.
Marriage Preparation
Véronique and Howie Fohr | marriagepreparation@stmarysottawa.ca Marriage preparation is a 7-week course for engaged couples discerning marriage. The evening sessions include a talk and a time for engage couples to answer and discuss questions relating to the topic of the evening.
